Athani Conservation Project
All structures and objects associated with the history and heritage of Akathethara Grama Panchayat have been declared protected monuments by the Biodiversity Management Committee and the Panchayat Governing Body. As part of this initiative, conservation signboards have been installed at around seven traditional Athanis across the Panchayat, and protective walls have been constructed around two of them to ensure their preservation.
This heritage conservation project is being implemented in collaboration with the Palghat History Club, with the objective of safeguarding and promoting the cultural and historical legacy of the region for future generations.
