👥 2. Responsibilities of the Public
🗑️ Segregated Disposal
Waste must be segregated into biodegradable, non-biodegradable, hazardous, and e-waste before handing over to Haritha Karma Sena.
💳 User Fee Payment
All households and establishments are obligated to pay the user fee fixed by local self-government bodies to Haritha Karma Sena.
🏢 Bulk Waste Generators
Large apartments, auditoriums, and hotels must set up their own organic waste management systems.
🚫 3. Prohibitions & Strict Actions
🔥 Ban on Waste Burning
Burning plastic or non-biodegradable waste in public spaces or private premises is a punishable offense.
🚯 Fines for Littering
Dumping waste in public spaces or water bodies will attract heavy fines and legal proceedings.
🛑 Single-Use Plastic Ban
Manufacturing, selling, and using illegal plastic bags and single-use plastic products are strictly prohibited.

Services of Haritha Karma Sena must be utilized in all wards for non-biodegradable waste collection.
2. Clean Kerala Company Coordination
Collected non-biodegradable waste is sent for scientific recycling via Material Collection Facilities (MCF).
3. Smart Garbage Monitoring
QR code-based digital tracking system for monitoring waste collection and user fee payments.
4. User Fee Mandatory for Permits
Haritha Karma Sena user fee receipt is mandatory for commercial establishments and buildings to access services from local bodies.
