Operation Toofan - The Narco Hunt
As part of completely eradicating drug use and supply chains across the state, the Government of Kerala, the Local Self Government Department, and the Kerala Police have jointly introduced 'Operation Toofan 2.0', a powerful public campaign. Our panchayat is actively participating in expanding anti-drug activities down to the grassroots level.

Completely protect our nation and future generations from the great peril of drugs, and build a crime-free, healthy, drug-free society.

Prevent Drug Spread
Strictly prevent the availability and sale of narcotic substances around school premises and public places.
Ward-Level Collectives
Strengthen defense by establishing special Gram Sabhas and Vigilance Committees in all wards of the panchayat.
Awareness Campaigns
Organize rallies, arts and sports competitions, and awareness classes targeting youth and students.
Protect Future Generations
Rescue the nation and upcoming generations from the evil of drugs and create a healthy society.

Kickoff of the Akathethara Gram Panchayat level event! As part of the Government of Kerala's popular initiative Operation Toofan - The Narco Hunt and strong public defense against drugs, Akathethara Gram Panchayat organized an anti-drug awareness program titled “Operation Toofan – The Narco Hunt”. Led by the Akathethara Gram Panchayat, the "Toofan Local Self-Government Against Drugs Janasena" program was held on Monday, September 28 at the Panchayat Kalyana Mandapam. Hemambika Nagar police authorities conducted an awareness class during the event. Through the Operation Toofan program, Akathethara Gram Panchayat highlighted goals such as strengthening public unity toward a drug-free society, protecting children and youth from drugs, and fostering a vigilance-driven community against drugs.
